(Newser) – President Obama will go to bat for his health care plan, but he won’t defend his pants. Asked on NBC’s Today Show about the “dad jeans” he wore at last week’s All-Star Game, Obama punted. “I’m a little frumpy,” he confided. “I hate to shop. Those jeans are comfortable. For those of you who want your president to look great in his tight jeans, I’m sorry … I’m not 20.”

Personally I can't undcerstand why all the news stations are making such a fuss about this trash. There are more important things to consider vice what clothes the President is wearing Reply

Shannon, old writing teachers never die, they just lose track of their red pencils. In my classes on military bases I convinced my students that the use of "vice" in this way, rather than "versus" or "as opposed to" is probably military short had borne out of jargon, sloppiness, or ignorance Once it's appeared in the Commander's memo it will spread like the fungus inside C_k's brain. I know what you mean by it but I'd bet it leaves more that a few scratching their heads. ; ^)
