150 Maldive Women to Be Flogged for Affairs

(Newser) – A criminal court in the Maldives has ruled that 150 women will be flogged for having affairs in the Muslim country, reports the Independent. Some 50 men face the same punishment. Earlier this month an 18-year-old woman fainted after being flogged 100 times for having sex with two men, who were both acquitted. The woman was pregnant when she was convicted of her crime, but punishment was delayed until after the birth of her child.

hey, think about this when you'll be choosing the place of your next leisure travel. there are so many civilised places to go. like Cuba. no i am not joking. there is no such thing as religion dictating the criminal agenda in that and many other countries. as usual religion proves to be the greatest self-inflicted curse of mankind. You sound a lot like Jesus; he called the religious leaders in Jerusalem "offspring of vipers". And Big Religion has continued its downward spiral ever since.
