Racy New Berlusconi Sex Tape Released

(Newser) – A newly released audio tape apparently captures Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in a graphic sexual conversation with a female escort, reports the Daily Telegraph. Two voices on the tape discuss orgasm and a just-ended satisfying sexual encounter, with the man recommending that the woman "touch" herself "often." The tape was recorded by escort Patrizia D'Addario, 42, after spending the night at Berlusconi's official residence, according to opposition newsmagazine L'Espresso.

The tape, the third to be released, seriously threatens Berlusconi's relationship with the Vatican, and will likely scuttle any upcoming audience with the pope, say observers. Berlusconi has admitted an escort was at his residence, but said that he would not pay for sex because it "does not involve the thrill of conquest." His attorney said the tapes are "completey improbable."

(NEWSER) - One million people are about to become card-carrying Catholics, thanks to the Vatican. Inspired by Pope Benedict, the British church hierarchy is issuing cards to Catholics at Sunday Mass. Holders sign their name declaring themselves as Catholics, and a message requests that a priest be called for the holder in case of an emergency. The cards also carry a quote encouraging the holder to be a "preacher of truth." We "all carry cards in our wallets which reflect something of our identity and the things that are important to us," explained a church spokesman, who conceded the faith can't be "summarized in bullet points" on the Catholic card.
