The world's most famous octuplets are getting a new guardian—for their finances. After a child-labor activist filed suit against Nadya Suleman for allowing her 14 children to be videotaped for a gossip site, an Orange County judge appointed the guardian to examine the kids' finances, the Los Angeles Times reports. The lawsuit aims to create a trust for the children. Elsewhere:
- Mischa Barton is out of the hospital following a two-week psychiatric hold, and is ready to get back to work, her rep tells Us.
- Also from Us: Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush have called it quits. “Nobody cheated,” a source says. “This is just a case of conflicting schedules and their lives going in different directions.”
- Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform 1975 breakthrough album Born to Run in its entirety in Chicago on Sept. 20, the Tribune reports.
- Katie Holmes got a scare when a car caught fire on the Melbourne, Australia, set of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark just after she exited it. “Katie was very shaken by the ordeal,” a source tells the Daily Mail.
