Jen: I'm OK Being 'Lonely Girl'

Actress talks family, love with Elle

(Newser) – Jennifer Aniston refuses to “ignore the pink elephant in the living room,” she tells Elle. “If I’m the emblem for ‘this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ so be it. I can make fun of myself. And I’ll bring it up as long as the world is bringing it up.”

The 40-year-old actress says she got her sense of humor from her mom—who made her dad laugh “like nobody’s business” before they divorced—and didn’t spare honesty: “I remember being 7 and asking my mom if I was as pretty as [best friend] Monique,” Aniston says. “And with all the love in the world, my mom looked at me and said, ‘Oh, honey, you’re so funny.’”

George Clooney has had a bevy of beauties on his arm, a failed marriage and a few 'steady' relationships and as he approaches 50, nobody is bemoaning the romantic 'failures' of poor 'pathetic' George. Instead, folks seem to agree on an 'atta boy' approach. I'm sick and tired of the double standard!

Come out of the closet and let people see who you really are Jennifer. they will embrace you if you are real. If you keep lying you will live your whole life unauthentically.

I just love Jen. I think she just picks the wrong guys. Not that that's a crime, I do that as well. I don't think she is plain at all personally. I think she has an amazing personality. I've always found her so charming and with a great sense of humor.
