As Chris Brown awaits sentencing today, Rihanna is again trying to squash a court order requiring him to stay 50 yards away, her lawyer tells People. Meanwhile, her mother is afraid she’s “playing Russian roulette with her life” by allowing Brown to keep his “power over her,” the Mirror reports. Elsewhere:

  • Don’t count Joan Rivers among Jon Gosselin fans. “I’m disgusted by him,” she tells the New York Post. “Here's a guy with eight kids who runs off to ‘find himself’—well, he should have found himself a condom.”

  • Jeremy Piven told Conan O’Brien last night that President Obama gave him his phone numbers and he lost them, leading Gawker blogger the Cajun Boy to wonder, “which is a more revolting thought—that Obama actually gave his digits to Jeremy Piven, or that Piven never even bothered to write the numbers down or save them into his phone?”
  • Also from Gawker: Herman Rosenblat, the Holocaust memoir faker who duped Oprah, is still lying about how he and his wife met, Ryan Tate notes, citing a YouTube video promoting the upcoming book (and eventual film) The Apple without noting that the book is a novel and the entire story told by Rosenblat in the video is a lie.”
  • Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black is suing a site that posted X-rated photos of him and an ex, the Post reports. Black wants $3 million for invasion of privacy and copyright infringement, among other things.
