West Point Tops Best Colleges List

(Newser) – The US Military Academy tops the new Forbes list of top colleges, leapfrogging five places to bump Princeton out of the top spot. In the second annual ranking, another service academy, the Air Force's, lands in seventh place on a list that places schools according to "the quality of the education they provide, the experience of the students and how much they achieve." The top 10:

  1. US Military Academy (West Point)
  2. Princeton University
  3. California Institute of Technology (Caltech)
  4. Williams College
  5. Harvard University
  6. Wellesley College
  7. US Air Force Academy
  8. Amherst College
  9. Yale University
  10. Stanford University
