Edwards' Mistress Appears Before Grand Jury

Proceedings are secret, but likely have to do with campaign funds

(Newser) – Rielle Hunter, former galpal and rumored babymama of John Edwards, arrived at the Raleigh federal courthouse with her daughter this morning to appear in front of a grand jury, the News & Observer reports. Hunter’s video production firm was paid $100,000 for work on Edwards’ presidential campaign, and Edwards announced in May there is an investigation into how he used campaign funds.

Why is she bringing her baby into court? What is she hoping that bringing her baby into court will do for her? and you mentioned Hunters video production Firm in your piece, you make it sound as if she's been doing this for years and has a staff of 100 people working for her in some Hollywood Production Office for God's sakes, what I read is that she had NO EXPERIENCE in taping or production whatsoever that it was just a job that Edwards gave her just so it seems to give her $$$ since he was bedding her, he wanted to do something monetary for her. Her Video Production Firm...what a laugh just like her bringing the baby into Court!!! Reply

I don't know why Elizabeth doesn't kick his worthless ass out and take the money and run. She's trying to live with cancer and raise her (their) children. It's got to be stressful to have to look at his face every morning. I'm not much for marriage as an institution, but if you're going to hold your family up as an example of what a good guy you are to be the President of the United States, then take a lesson from Clinton's poor example and keep it in your pants. And speaking of Clinton(s), surely nobody believes that those two live together or are married in anything but name only, but nobody NOBODY says anything about that in the media. Reply

If you look at yesterday's photo with Clinton hugging Gore, it looks like he's not wearing a ring.
