Jenny Sanford, Kids Move Out

Share

(Newser) – The wife of South Carolina's philandering governor is moving out and taking the kids, the State reports. “I have decided to move back to our home in Charleston with our sons for the upcoming school year,” Mark Sanford's wife, Jenny, said in a statement released today. The governor released a statement that reads in part: "I stand by this family decision." The Sanfords have four sons.

“We will work to continue the process of healing our family," Jenny Sanford said. She said she and the children “will return often, and I will remain engaged in activities in my role as First Lady, acknowledging that my responsibilities to my family come first.” Jenny Sanford was instrumental in convincing leaders who called for the governor’s resignation that he could discharge his duties while dealing with the fallout of his high-profile affair.

Why is he still the Governor of South Carolina and WHY is she still married to this low down cheating husband since she is NOT his soulmate since that title is reserved by him for his girlfriend? Reply

because an individual having an affair, in this day and age, shouldn't somehow mean they're unfit for a political position. knee-jerk reactions like that often lead to the "next best" individual getting the job.

He didn't just have an affair though, he up and left the state and told no one where he was going. For that alone, he shouldn't be the governor.
