Eunice Shriver Critically Ill

(Newser) – Eunice Shriver, the 88-year-old sister of Sen. Ted Kennedy, is in intensive care in a Massachusetts hospital, the Cape Cod Times reports. The Special Olympics founder has been in the hospital for a week and is in critical but stable condition. Her family, including daughter Maria Shriver and son-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger, is by her side. “The family is grateful for the prayers of her many friends,” a Special Olympics spokesman says.

Why even say anything? Is there some kind of enlightenment to be had in flagging that you are ignorant and lack any decency or compassion? Compassion emasculates does it? Oh...and aren't you allegedly a Christian?

Then I would invoke Poe's Law, namely: "Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing." This has been extended to politics etc.
