Searchers Find, Can't Recover 8th Body

Olympian Torres rode copter over Hudson 2 days before crash

(Newser) – Crews searching the Hudson River for the victims of Sunday's collision between a sightseeing helicopter and a small plane located an eighth body yesterday in the submerged plane but were unable to recover it, 1010 WINS radio reports. Rough water and silt impeded the efforts of divers, who suspended work late Monday and planned to resume searching for the ninth and last body Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Olympic swimming champ Dara Torres said she was shocked to realize she and her 3-year-old daughter had taken a helicopter tour of New York last week with the pilot of the doomed aircraft. "I was a little freaked out," Torres tells the AP. "You realize how precious life is. I was just with this guy two days earlier."

So people died. Someone is waiting for a body of their beloved and Dana is soooo shocked that this happened, but not to her, thank goodness. Fuck you, your horse and the guy who tied up and watered your horse. Reply

Now I'm with you all the way on the "f" word, but sweetie lamb Dara Torres is a classy lady. She can't help it the way her quote appeared in the media. You'd have felt the same way if you'd have had such a narrow escape with your child. But for the grace of god my young wife and I would have died in the 70s on our favorite hiking trail along the Na Pali coast on Kauai when a crazed shooter killed some folks. We'd just been there a few days before.

Never make the mistake of thinking that a woman is more special than a man when it comes to winning. As for your near death experience, horrified and shocked and so glad that you survived. And while I worship the very ground you walk on if you ever call me sweetie again, I will fly and punch you.

kokuaguy...are you freaked out that they're now making a movie about people being killed on the NaPali coast? You should have been an extra in the movie!
