Calif. Gay Rights Group Delays Push for Marriage

(Newser) – One of California's biggest and most influential gay rights groups says it will delay a ballot push to overcome the state's ban on same-sex marriage until 2012, the Los Angeles Times reports. Equality California, which led the failed effort to defeat Prop 8 in November, says there is too little time to raise the millions of dollars necessary for a 2010 offensive.

@ fondue. Paganism is about every god or better said all gods except for the true and living God of the Bible on that point you are right. As far as Christianity being founded on paganism? How? Unless maybe if you go back to when God called Abraham out of Ur. Then I guess in a way your right. So am I right to say that science is your god and pagansim is your form of worship? @ rajan can you explain what horrible things christians have done? Also I am a pathetic human being I will be the first to admit that. Although 9 out of 10 women disagree. (my own survey) @ Markfl...what can I say I'll put more thought in my future post. Thanks for the reminder not to be knee jerk. Might I suggest you pick up and read. It helped Augustine.

newsermandan, stop reading the Bible. It sounds like it is really hurting your brain. Now that Mr. Dada has you curious, you should try thinking for yourself. How about you start by thinking about your posts before you post them?!

If civil unions confer all the same benefits undrer the law it is logical for gays to support as the Family Equality Coalition does in Hawaii. Our constitution was the first to be amended in 1998 to limit marriage to those of the opposite sex, but our legislature came close to establishing civil unions this year and I am hopeful that it will so next year. Not that I plan on taking advantage of it. Rumors on newser to the contrary. ; ^)
