I Had an Affair With Madoff: Accountant

An accountant says Bernie Madoff didn’t just steal her money, he stole the shirt—and various other articles of clothing—right off her back. In her upcoming book Madoff’s Other Secret: Love, Money, Bernie, and Me, Sheryl Weinstein, former CFO of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, says she and the infamous Ponzi schemer once had an torrid affair. So far no details about the relationship have leaked.

Weinstein has spoken publicly about Madoff many times, never mentioning the affair. At Madoff’s sentencing hearing, she mentioned that he knew her husband and son, and that her son often called him for advice. But if she has any lingering fondness for him, it hasn’t shown. “He is a beast that has stolen for his own needs,” she told the judge. (More Bernard Madoff stories.)
