Sleep With Marilyn: Wife Selling Hubby's Crypt Above Monroe

(Newser) – A former Beverly Hills resident is about to get a rude awakening when he's evicted from his crypt above Marilyn Monroe so his wife can sell it, reports the Los Angeles Times. Elsie Poncher says her hubby was a "helluva nice guy," but she needs the money to help pay off her $1.6 million mortgage.

She's auctioning off the crypt at a Westwood cemetery on eBay starting at $500,000. Her husband bought the crypt from Joe DiMaggio in 1954 in the midst of the baseball legend's divorce from Monroe. Hugh Hefner bought the crypt next to the actress in 1992 for $75,000. "Spending eternity next to Marilyn is too sweet to pass up," Hef said.

Let's just hope that the lonely person that springs for this 'item' isn't so eager that they pull their own plug prematurely. Wouldn't it be lame if Hef moves in a short time after someone else has paid half a mil for the privilege of forever 'sleeping with Marilyn' only to find he is eternally kept up every night by Hef and Marilyn whooping it up together? Dame what a rude awakening for the guy, here he thinks he's going to be lying next to Marilyn for the rest of eternity he bought the crypt from Dimaggio and now is having it pulled out from under him. Nice wife to honor his wishes, go to work lady to get the money for your mortgage and respect your husbands last wishes. Reply

Gheez, the guy is dead, do you HONESTLY think he 'knows' what's happening? And if he does do you think he would rather lay next to a corpse of a once famous woman or would he rather move to something more modest for the sake of his family?
