NJ Cops Treat Dylan Like a Complete Unknown

Officers pick up rock legend out on walk

Share

(Newser) – A New Jersey police officer in her 20s didn't recognize Bob Dylan when she responded to a call about a suspicious, shabbily dressed man staring into a vacant house, the Asbury Park Press reports. "What is your name, sir?" she asked. "Bob Dylan," he replied. "OK, what are you doing here?" the officer asked. "I'm on tour," the singer said, explaining that he was looking at houses to pass the time.

The patrolwoman summoned a second officer who apparently also failed to recognize the rock legend. Dylan was asked for ID, which he didn't have. After he told them was staying in "a big hotel on the ocean," the pair brought him to the Oceanside Resort, where staff vouched for the singer. "We all got a laugh,'' the patrolwoman says. ""He didn't look like a famous person.''

""He didn't look like a famous person.''- I'd expect nothing less from the great man. That's class that is - Given that a 'famous person' today is generally a desperate, talentless moron with their lips injected with their arse fat, a smile so fake it needs to be glued on every morning, and wearing the sort of clothes and jewellery that scream O, O , O, OVER HERE! LOOK AT ME!!! I AM FAMOUS!!! PLEEEASE LOOK AT ME!!! Trust Mr Dylan to inject a a little reality into the proceedings. ""He didn't look like a famous person.'' Of course he didn't - He's bigger than that! Reply

Its because im feeling like a lazy sob!

@ pistyle, most rock stars are complete slobs, if they're dressing the way they feel who cares. they get paid to make music, not dress nice

Well, this old hippy is surely a Bob Dylan fan, but methinks, perhaps, this is laying it on it on a bit thick, so to speak.
