Seinfeld Up First for Leno

By Kevin Spak,  Newser Staff

(Newser) – Jerry Seinfeld will be the lone guest on Jay Leno’s maiden primetime outing, the LA Times reports. That’s fitting, considering Leno has said he consulted Seinfeld when contemplating NBC’s offer for the 10pm show.

Leno has said he’d like to have just one or occasionally two guests per show, to go along with musical acts—the first episode features Kayne West, Jay Z, and Rihanna—and regular correspondents like DL Hughley and Brian Williams.

Once again, a thumb down for a simple suggestion about format. Odd.

How in the name of sanity does a simple comment like the above attratc a thumb down? Unless...a person is operating on an avatar basis, and not an answer basis...hmmm...

If Jay is allowed to loosed the format of the show, kill the horrible monologue, lose a chunk of the cheesy bits and freeform more of the material, he will have himself a much more entertaining, if lower rating show.
