(Newser) – The deal was sealed with a Kiss: the heavy metal band is joining the ranks of classic bands releasing their music through Wal-Mart, the world’s biggest retailer, the AP reports. Their new collection, “Sonic Boom,” comes out Oct. 6 only at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club; it contains a CD of the first new Kiss songs in 11 years, reworked versions of the hits, and a live DVD. The Eagles, AC/DC, and Foreigner have also gone the Wal-Mart route.

It's about time that the group got around to making music instead of a cacophony.

These guys do have a cunning knack for survival though. They did those dolls early on, their merchandise kept them in Ferrari's and Bentley's long after their contemporaries were back working 9 to 5. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years time we look back and realise they made an astute decision here - and agree with you Gabo - very creepy!
