Jacko to Be Buried on Birthday: Dad

King of Pop to be laid to rest at LA's Forest Lawn Cemetery

Share

(Newser) – Michael Jackson will be buried on Aug. 29, what would have been the late artist’s 51st birthday, Joe Jackson tells the New York Daily News. The King of Pop’s father says plans for the burial, to take place at LA’s Forest Lawn Cemetery, were just made in the past few days. He also said he supports the LAPD’s inquiry into the possibility of wrongdoing in Jackson’s death, but warned against making Dr. Conrad Murray “the fall guy for a whole lot of people”—without elaborating on who those people are or what they might have done.

What are Larry King, the butcher, the baker & the candlestick maker; to say nothing of Joe, Jesse, Al & the rest of the boys going to talk about when he is finally buried? Oh, sorry, forgot about the books, the movies, the specials, ad nauseum, ad infinitum Reply

I thought Jackson had been buried at Forest Lawn cemetery a while back. I assume this is all about the hype and media coverage that will go along with the event. Remember folks, at the end of the day it's all about the money and Joe Jackson is the consumate pimp. Reply

They had their own private memorial at Forest Lawn, not the burial yet. They have moved the date of burial up to Sept. 3 now. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if he was already buried at a place that noone outside the family knows about to prevent the obsessive fans and/or MJ haters from trying to steal his body. There are a lot of crazy people out there and if they were smart they would keep it from the public. Then at least his remains wouldn't be compromised the way his life was. Wherever and whenever he is buried, he'll finally be at peace away from the media glare and the attention seeking hyprocrites. R.I.P. Michael. You so diserved better than what you got from this world

This is starting to remind me of the movie Weekend At Bernie's. Reply
