For Lips, Hot Pink Is New Red

It is, after all, the new red

(Newser) – Hot pink lipstick is “younger, hipper, and definitely a little more edgy” than red, says a makeup artist to the stars. How best to copy the look of Kim Kardashian, Leighton Meester, and other pink-pouted celebs? Makeup artist Mally Roncal offers USA Today some tips:

  • A matte look might be too intense—tone it down with a more flattering sheer lipstick or gloss.

  • Forget lip-liner—it’ll give you that “ring-around-mouth” effect, she says.
  • Keep your other makeup soft, sheer, and neutral—or risk looking “like a crazy lady.”
  • It’s OK to wear a little bit of pink with your lipstick, “but choose one thing, either a great shoe or a top or a scarf”—don’t go head-to-toe pink.

Can someone please give me Kim Kardashian's phone number. I'd like to have my people call up her people and setup a meeting between the two of us; just for drinks .
