Cop Accuses Craig of Lying

Argument captured on audiotape after arrest

(Newser) – Disgraced Senator Larry Craig can be heard on audiotape arguing vehemently with a police officer about what happened in an airport men's room after he allegedly solicited sex from the undercover cop. The arresting officer can also be heard accusing Craig of lying on the tape, which was released by Minneapolis Airport police, AP reports.

"I'm not gay. I don't do these kinds of things," Craig tells the officer. "You shouldn't be out to entrap people." The cop accuses Craig of "sitting here, lying to a police officer. I expect this from the guy we get out of the 'hood," he adds. "I mean, people vote for you. Unbelievable."
