Vixen Author Embraces Her Inner Betty Crocker

And, surprisingly, some would benefit from listening to her

(Newser) – Karrine Steffans has had drama-riddled relationships with famous rappers and celebs such as Mike Tyson and Bill Maher. Her “relationships have been major public train wrecks,” writes Jo Piazza for DoubleX, from allegations of abuse at the hands of Tyson to her suicide attempt following her breakup with Maher. And yet she's now a best-selling author on relationship advice. "Why are scads of readers paying to get advice on romance from this woman?” Her shift toward Betty Crocker-land is part of the explanation.

Steffans "seems to be laying out a romantic path that moves from strumpet to baby mama to wife," writes Piazza. She “promotes a kind of 1950s traditionalism as part of her recipe for nurturing successful relationships"—surprising considering her background. But when you think about it, “both the whore and the homemaker spend their lives in the service of men. They can both teach each other a thing or two. Steffans is the same person she always was, only now she is diversifying her brand."

In interviews today, Steffans is the opposite of the sultry seductress who vamps on her book covers. She comes across as a traditional mom, albeit one with a fantastic rack. - Jo Piazza, Slate

Karrine Steffans nickname is Superhead, no wonder she has had Tyson and Maher and many other A-listers because, once you hear the nickname you got to check her out for yourself! Reply

Even an intellect like Tyson can figure out what Superhead stands for.

Doesn't this gal on the picture look like she just farted? I'm sure she spent a lot of time practicing that look. Reply
