The McSteamy nudie vid could turn into more than just an embarrassment for the stars involved: The LAPD is investigating the tape for evidence of “celebrities engaging in illegal activity,” detectives say in a statement. An unnamed source handed the DVD over to cops on July 30 with that accusation. The LAPD says it was "in the process of reviewing the voluminous files contained on the DVD when the story was leaked to the media."

"No determination has been made as to whether or not the DVD contained any information that could be used for a criminal investigation," it continues. In addition to Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, and Kari Ann Peniche appearing intoxicated, Gayheart says, “I’m so high,” Us reports. Oddly, the DVD also contains “archived articles and photographs of porn stars and formally convicted madams, which could readily be found over the Internet,” officials say. (More nude stories.)
