Miley's Pole Dance? No Big Deal to Dad

Billy Ray writes it off as her love of 'entertaining'

(Newser) – At least one parent isn’t upset over Miley Cyrus’ raunchy pole dance at the Teen Choice Awards—Billy Ray Cyrus. When asked about it by Access Hollywood, the proud pop non-answered with, “I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing, songwriting. I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinions.”

She also, apparently, loves making out with her Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth. The two were caught snogging as Miley dropped Hemsworth off at the Nashville airport Wednesday, the New York Daily News reports, adding that the songstress has repeatedly Tweeted about her Australian co-star. Guess this means Nick Jonas is out of the picture again…

By the time she's 18years old, someone else will be the new whatever, she's just the flavor of the month and then at 18 or 20 she will be desperate for attention and make a sex video, it's happened a million times already and will be nothing new. Her Father should wake the fuck up, it's his little girl and she's doing a pole dance routine but hey why should he care, Brilly Ray is asking himself since he's riding on her coat tails. Reply

Art is a pole dance routine? Billy Ray needs to evaluate his parenting skills, this was a disturbing performance by a sixteen year-old girl with pre-teen fans..I had to explain to my 10-year-old that Miley's behaviour was totally unacceptable, I actually used the word "Skank" to strengthen my view point, I also used the opportunity to explain why the word pimp was a glorification of a vile, violent individual who earned money by prostituting women... I sincerely don't want to question your parenting skills, because that would be way out of line. However, I just want to say that I don't, personally, see why you introduced a 10 year old to the word "skank" unnecessarily--I was in absolute ignorance of such words, remarks and innuendos until about age 13 or 14 (someone finally told me what a "BJ" meant in 7th grade in study hall). I just mean that sometimes it's nice to be oblivious to all this going on, especially when we're young and innocent. Just a thought (again, not my place to tell you what to do, so please ignore me if you wish).
