Racist Media Gunning for Me: Paterson

NY gov says Obama, Deval Patrick also face white hostility

(Newser) – New York's governor says they're all out to get him, and President Obama, and other black politicians, the Daily News reports. Calling for more "black" media outlets to balance things out, David Paterson blamed his 30% popularity rating on white reporters and commentators. "We have a media that doesn't report the news," he said. "We have a media that wants to make the news."

"My feeling is it's being orchestrated, it's a game, and people who pay attention know that," said Paterson, referring to a "crescendo" of calls that he not run for re-election next year. He said the nation's other black governor, Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, also faces undue scrutiny because of his race. “The next victim on the list is President Barack Obama. We're not in the post-racial period.”

Do not comment on this statement. They are looking for a fight.

There is racism and prejudice of all kinds around the world. To deny that is completely foolish. The government keeps racism alive? The rest of your comment makes sense - the first part is complete nonsense.

@Koku: Patterson is my gov. and trust me, his low poll % has nothing to do with his escapades. It all started to go down hill with the replacement for Hillary's seat, he does not have an authoritative presence and he seemed to have stood there and watched the politicians upstate give us New Yorkers the finger.
