(Newser) – Michael Jackson will be buried Sept. 3, not Aug. 29 as first planned, his family announced today. No reason was given for the change in the burial date, which would have been the pop icon’s 51st birthday, People reports. Jackson, who died June 25, is to be entombed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.

Where DO you stash a corpse for months on end? A freezer in the garage? Some special mini-storage I don't know about? I thought that's what cemeteries were for.

What the hell is the family waiting for? Are they trying to give him ample time for a resurrection? The sooner the Jackson family realizes that their meal ticket has left the building, the better off they will be.

The only thing that Sarah Palin ever said that rings true to a non-wolf shooting, pro-life give my kid a condom was an article in Esquire where she said that she couldn't imagine getting out of bed if she lost a child. That's sorta huge for people who haven't lost one to say. To still be dealing with funerals at this stage is like ripping all the stitches out of a barely healing wound. Never-healing. God. Agony.
