(Newser) – Three men were caught on tape breaking into Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood Hills house this morning, TMZ reports. The actress discovered the burglary when she came home at 3am, then called her father. "The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed," Lohan’s mother tells People. "Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken too.”

Lohan’s father suspects the burglary was "an inside job" because the alarms weren’t activated. "I am not going to put up with individuals violating my family,” he says. “Lindsay is a charitable, generous person that always gives.” Her mother adds that Lohan “is okay, but upset," and that she was planning to move soon anyway. Surveillance video captured three men trying to break into Lohan’s house in May.

Judge to Lindsay Lohan: Plea Deal Means Jail

But she's expected to accept the deal anyway

(NEWSER) - Looks like Lindsay Lohan is going to wind up in jail after all, if even for a brief spell, reports TMZ . Prosecutors offered her a plea deal today—reportedly for six months behind bars—on charges that she stole a necklace . The judge made clear that if she accepts, she will spend time in jail. Lohan has a few weeks to decide whether to accept or take her chances at trial, but TMZ is "almost positive" she'll eventually take the deal—and hope the judge gives her less than six months. She'd face three years if convicted at trial. More»
