McCain, Hatch Nods to Kennedy Are a Load of BS

Share

(Newser) – John McCain and Orrin Hatch's recent kind words about Ted Kennedy's ability to negotiate across the aisle "would be touching as hell if they weren't total bull," Rick Ungar writes on True/Slant. Ungar shames the GOP senators for praising Kennedy's skills of reaching consensus while themselves refusing to seek any meaningful compromise on health care.

"Politics is one thing, fellas," Ungar writes. "But when you attempt to opportunistically trade on a dying friend’s name simply to make yourselves look like the good guys, well that’s just wrong. Seriously, seriously wrong."

Come on guys, if you’re so in awe of Kennedy’s skill in working through problems, why don’t put your personal agendas aside and handle the debate as Kennedy would have were he able
to be present?

McCain and Hatch are no friends to anyone. Speaking out both sides of their mouth for their own benefit. There is know way, whatever they say would make them look good. Reply

The real BS is spending trillions of taxpayers' dollars to increase the profits of insurance companies. First the banks, now the insurance companies. The nation is paying an incredibly high price for inexperience. Reply

And where were your such patriotic complaints when GW Bush spending trillions of taxpayers' dollars to increase the profits of private firms such as Blackwater, Brown Root and many many war time companies? I tell you where, hidden behind the Republican banner as Party Loyalty. It is fine with Republicans to destroy our economy to kill innocent women and children in a 3rd world country but anyone who dares spend one red cent to aid the American people is a traitor in your book...Here is a news flash, get a new book because we are not buying your old one
