(Newser) – Hey, if Spencer Pratt thinks he can be the next Brad Pitt, why shouldn’t his wife be the next Michael Jackson? In yet another example of the reality show couple’s delusions of grandeur, Pratt called Heidi Montag "the new, modern-day, 2010 Michael Jackson” following her Miss Universe “performance," MTV reports. Except—of course—“way bigger.”

“Michael Jackson's in heaven,” he continues. “The Holy Spirit now has extra Michael Jackson juice, so boom! For all we know, Heidi gets possessed with some of that Michael Jackson divine spirit.” At least one person disagrees: Watch Anderson Cooper of CNN rip into the Britney Spears wannabe in the video at left.

(NEWSER) - This has got to be some sort of record: Jersey Shore and its cast members have now racked up 15 lawsuits in two years. The latest, courtesy of Courthouse News Service : A woman celebrating her niece's birthday at a bar in Seaside Heights, NJ, claims that drunk Jersey Shore cast members caused a brawl that eventually involved club security and show security. In the chaos, she was struck and hit her head, resulting in "severe and permanent injuries," according to her lawsuit. More»

(NEWSER) - In a poignant interview airing today on Ellen, Paris Jackson says that dad Michael once told her, “If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.” And, she says, “I took his advice and I remembered everything he told me.” She also related how he influenced her to pursue an acting career, E! reports. “My dad was in the movie Moonwalker and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn't know he could act. Conrad Murray Hit With Max Sentence

Michael Jackson's doctor gets 4 years

(NEWSER) - Dr. Conrad Murray was hit with the maximum sentence of four years' imprisonment today for his role in the death of Michael Jackson. Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter , will serve his time in county jail rather than prison because he is a non-violent felon, TMZ reports. It is also likely he will serve just half of his sentence. The judge ordered Murray to pay restitution to Jackson's family, but the amount will be decided at a later date; he was also ordered to pay $870 in fines and fees. More»

(NEWSER) - Perhaps you just can’t bring yourself to Occupy Wall Street, but we think we’ve found a cause everyone can finally get behind. A new online petition, titled “ No More Kardashian ,” calls for E! to boot the family from the airwaves, and ABC News reports that as of Tuesday, 70,601 had signed (it's up to almost 160,000 as of this posting). It’s also worth mentioning that a “Boycott the Kardashians” Facebook page has more than 55,000 fans. The organizer of the petition tells Yahoo! TV , “It is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them." More here .
