Angry Crowd Greets McCain at Ariz. Town Hall

(AP) – John McCain met with an angry crowd at a town hall meeting about health care reform yesterday, sometimes having to fight to talk and telling one woman who wouldn't stop shouting that she had to leave. The senator hadn't yet opened the meeting to questions when one audience member continuously yelled over him. McCain had security escort her out, saying, "Goodbye, see ya."

When McCain began taking questions, one man angrily pointed at him and asked the senator why he deserves a better health care plan than him. "I'm trying to get it for you," McCain told him. "We'll do it for you. We'll make it affordable and available to you." Other audience members in the crowd of 2,000 told McCain about their medical problems, such as HIV and multiple sclerosis. McCain said he would fight for health care reform but reiterated his opposition to President Obama's public option proposal.

it makes me sick to know i live in a country that is FOR killing of other people, and AGAINST helping your own kind because you dont want to shell out a couple more pennies on the dollar to make sure the sick get the care they need. Most of you people are just arguing just to argue. because you have different perspectives and different lives yet neither side is willing to bend for the other calling each other crazy and sick. there is something seriously wrong with human nature at this day in age that with all the technology and civilized manner that we have that nothing can get done because of all you braindead sheep are soaking up everything the douchebag personalities treading the waters with mind numbing rhetoric has to say. you people wont even stop for one minute to think if the people youre supporting is even worth your expelled air...you just know you hate the other party enough to wish death on public television to satisfy your own personal sick interests. this isnt politics, its a death match, and youre all supporting it by not arguing solid facts and just spewing venom. GROW THE FUCK UP AND DO SOMETHING TO HELP YOUR COUNTRY AND FELLOW MAN. not everyone is looking for a handout, some people really need it, and youre delaying care for these people because you dont think you should have to pay for the ones who want a handout...i cant remember the last time someone WANTED to go to the hospital, or was overjoyed they needed surgery. this sick idea that you people have in your heads about people purposely using healthcare to their benefit is retarded. they use it because they need it. stop thinking like a CEO with a business plan.. the gov will get your money one way or another if they need it, why not use it on preserving life? ill tell you why, because most of you are biased, racist, bigoted, ignorant sociopaths that are so self absorbed you cant see the goddamn forest for the trees. in the end when the last bomb goes off, the ones left will be there looking at each other wondering where the hell everything went wrong and it will be too late. the most ironic thing im looking at in that video is that the room is full of the elderly, and im willing to bet at least 50% of them are in some sort of health care. the hypocrisy is staggering.

He couldn't get through the primaries in 2000 because of a campaign, BY REPUBLICANS, that said he was a traitor for his Air Force service in Vietnam. Nice party. So, anyone in the service still support the "tough on defense" party? If you do then you deserve phony wars to keep contractors rich.

Several months on and no competing proposal from the Republicans. The party of no.
