Va. Tech Couple Shot Dead in Forest

Campground killing apparently random

Share

(Newser) – Two Virginia Tech students have been found murdered in a campground near the school, bringing fresh horror to a campus already rocked by tragedy, the Roanoke Times reports. Police have found no murder weapon, motive or suspect. They believe an attacker shot the sophomore couple in a "random act of brutal violence." Virginia Tech was the scene in 2007 of the massacre of 32 students and teachers. Earlier this year a student was beheaded by a male friend.

Once again, this community is visited by senseless violence and tragedy upon aspiring young minds from
our campus. - Virginia Tech President Charles Steger

You can't plan for anomalies. This is just an awful run of luck for the university. Their families have my best wishes.

I dunno man, they either need some psychological testing, more student mentoring programs, something. How the hell have all these loons gotten into one school in such a few times. School shootings, random double murders, fucking beheadings?! This is more than an anomaly. Most schools just have drunk and disorderlies, thefts, sexual assaults... Murder on a campus is bizzarre. This many is beyond that. Check the fucking water there.

Where, oh where, does this implicate Virginia Tech?? What's next? To say that all crime in Atlanta is associated with Georgia Tech?
