Elmo Takes On Swine Flu

Feds, Sesame Street produce spots on hygiene

Share

(Newser) – The fuzzy residents of Sesame Street are teaming up with the federal government to school kids on the dangers of swine flu and how to prevent it, the Washington Post reports. Elmo and human pal Gordon have taped PSAs that instruct children to be sure to wash their hands and sneeze into their arms during flu season. Health officials are bracing for a big jump in cases with school back in session.

We are thrilled to partner with Elmo, Gordon, and Sesame Workshop again to emphasize the steps kids and their parents can take to stay happy and healthy this school year.

Big brother knows no boundaries... even hiring Sesame Street characters to indoctrinate our children. Reply

Yet one more way for Sesame Street to get back at the Muppets. Take that, Miss Piggie! Reply

Well I'd rather hear Elmo telling my children to sneeze into their arm than the outward sneeze that a lot of the buggers do. Reply
