DJ AM Gobbled 9 OxyContin Before Death: Source

Law enforcement source says Valentine's card from Hayley Wood found on table

(Newser) – DJ AM was found dead with eight OxyContin pills in his stomach and another in his mouth, supporting the theory that he committed suicide, a law enforcement source tells People. He wanted to die," the source said. "He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn't even swallow it." Crack cocaine was found under the DJ's body, according to the source.

A mirror was propped up against the bedroom door, which shattered when investigators entered. The DJ, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, "smoked a lot of crack, barricaded the doors and killed himself," the source believes. A Valentine's Day card from Hayley Wood, thought to have recently broken up with Goldstein (though she now denies it), was found on a table in the living room along with several photographs of the couple.

"Ucamtisethatname" I don't know why I think the words I say will affect you and all the other people who have no respect for human life. If I saw you across the room, heard your mouth, I would either beat your ass, or simply walk away. Good luck to you "Ucantusethatnalmem." No one with a heart will find you appealing, which, for your sake, means you will never find love. You really need to turn around.

How old are you "lumina?" I'd like for you to tell me you're twelve, but I know you're not. I'm going to be on your ass, until you listen. "DUMB doper?" Lord have mercy on your soul, and I'm not even religious. Do you feel superior when you hear about these things? Comment back to me, and tell me that someone you love, or have loved, has struggled, and dealt with it with drugs. Did you call them "dumb?" If so, maybe, you're the one without "enough brain." You'll never get over losing someone you love, ever, by illness, drugs, or tragedy. Go ahead, reply.
