Docs Urge Caution on Plastic Surgery for Migraines

(NEWSER) - A novel plastic-surgery procedure on the forehead could cure migraines entirely, Time reports. The surgery removes certain muscles—or “migraine triggers”—around the trigeminal nerve branches, which some think are the source of the painful headaches; it also smoothes wrinkles. Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Rachel Weisz not going under the knife

(NEWSER) - Get ready for wrinkles. That's the word from 35-year-old actress Kate Winslet, who, along with pals Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz, is taking a vow against plastic surgery and Botox. They've even launched the British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League. "It goes against my morals, the way my parents brought me up, and what I consider to be natural beauty," Winslet tells the Telegraph . As for Botox, she explains: "I'm an actress. I don't want to freeze the expression of my face." Stress-induced headaches leave her unable to 'function at all': sources

(NEWSER) - An odd issue regarding Michele Bachmann has come to the surface, causing some to question her ability to serve as president of the US: severe headaches. Bachmann suffers from migraines, three sources tell the Daily Caller , and the stress-induced episodes are fairly frequent and quite debilitating. One former adviser says they leave her "incapacitated," unable to "function at all," and "out of commission for a day or more at a time." (NEWSER) - A mom who likes to consider herself a " Human Barbie " had a special birthday surprise for her 7-year-old daughter: A coupon for a boob job. Daughter Poppy "begged me for a boob job, so I gave her the voucher so she can have it after she's 16, when it's legal," said Sarah Burge, 50. "If she develops naturally big boobs, she can have something else done with it," added the British mom, who claims to hold the world record for most money spent on plastic surgery (some $700,000). Study finds fat gets 'redistributed upstairs' within a year
