Oprah Urges Chris Brown to Get Some Help

Media mogul has no regrets about domestic violence show 'inspired by Rihanna'

(Newser) – Chris Brown was miffed that Oprah said a recent show on domestic abuse was “inspired by Rihanna.” The singer told People it was “a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school." When TMZ asked Oprah how she felt about Brown's reaction, a rep sent this reply: "Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs."

I commend Oprah on being like, 'This is a problem,' but she could have been more helpful, like, 'Okay, I'm going to help both of these people out.'

Who cares anymore? Yes, domestic violence is terrible and kudos to Oprah for using this as an example, but this happened like... a month ago or more? Maybe we should focus on some other domestic violence cases instead of this ONE. Reply

Chris Brown is getting uglier by the minute. He wants everyone to sweep his domestic abuse case under the rug. He is showing the same personality as other abusers... hey, I'm a great guy, I've done this and this and I help people.... That has nothing to do with what he did. Personally I don't think he will ever be reformed, his ego is too big. Reply

I still maintain he is in SERIOUS need of a mega-ass-kicking as a life and object lesson. Sometimes feeling what one dishes out works miracles...tends to penetrate through thick skulls better than reasoning and education. Reply

I would say get an education! For these young people who achieve success through talent it is very difficult for them to analyze situations in their mind. We have many Chris Browns walking around us. Money can lead an uneducated person to do so many unthinkable things. We have lost so many of our talented young people to crime or death. I say to Chris and Rihanna and all the young people with talent and money go to school. Keep educating yourself and you will see you will become a better person to yourself and to others. Sitting in a psychologist chair is not for everyone! Reply

A Slap in the Face? Poor choice of words from a known woman beater. And claiming that she should not have said anything because you did charity work shows that this dummy has not learned anything. YOU HIT A WOMAN!!! You don't deserve respect FOOL. Reply
