Trainer Spills Michelle Obama's Workout Secrets

First lady follows intense weight routine

(Newser) – How does Michelle Obama stay so buff? Only her personal trainer knows for sure, so good thing he's willing to dish. Cornell McClellan credits "a holistic approach that includes strength, cardiovascular, and flexibility training," Women's Health reports. He says the first lady's routine includes lunges, bench presses, hip raises, and rows, with intervals of cardio. She mixes it up with rope-jumping, kickboxing, and calisthenics.

"She's truly committed herself to the importance of health and fitness," McClellan says.

Michele's trainer should have her running more to work on her lower body, her upper is out of proportion with her lower body. He should have her work more on symmetry. Just saying! Reply

Also, this shouldn't be written up as "workout secrets" as though it were a scoop du'jour. Why not let her share her PT and diet hints to help others? She can be quite an advocate for physical fitness in this tubby country :)
