I Despise Kate: Jon

Says he didn't leave her for girlfriend

(Newser) – In a Good Morning America interview today, Jon Gosselin didn't hide his feelings about estranged wife Kate. "I can't sit on the sofa with that woman," he said, explaining that their segments of Jon & Kate Plus 8 are filmed separately. "I despise (her) because she's not speaking from the heart." Jon says that while they may be friends someday, their relationship "will never be fixed."

Jon also dished about his girlfriend, 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, who is the daughter of Kate's plastic surgeon. "I didn't leave Kate for Hailey," he says, adding that his "soul mate" is nothing like his wife. "I get respect from her." As for the other women Jon's been linked to, he calls teacher Deanna Hummel "just my friend" and denies a fling with ex-Star reporter Kate Major.

jon + kate = hate. who are these people? i am woefully behind in the history of this show, for better or worse. i guess i am hopelessly uninformed. is this a reality show, a real life drama of real people? a pathetic attempt to show what? the disintegration of a faux relationship? are these participants being paid to become vaporized on tv and to melt into a slime puddle on the floor of the living rooms of the viewing public?
