Pitt Shells Out $80K for Kids' Gerbil Run

Wannabe architect's contraption has seesaws, tunnels

(Newser) – In this edition of Lifestyles of the Rich and Furry: Brad Pitt dropped more than $80,000 on a run for his kids’ gerbils, complete with “tunnels, seesaws and platforms,” the Sun reports. The architecture buff apparently monitored the building of the run himself. “Brad pores over architectural journals like other people pore over newspapers,” said an insider. “Brad's more than happy with any activity that can combine his two passions—his kids and architecture.”

Ok... I'm all for fun things for cute furry creatures, but $80K for a gerbil run???? I know he can afford it, but that just too extravagant especially considering so many people have fallen on hard time and would be happy to have even $8,000! Next time you want to do something crazy special for your kids, keep it quiet Brad. Reply

$80k for him is equivalent to splurging on the venti instead of the grande latte for most of us. That gerbil is now worth more than me. Yay.
