Libby's PR Flop

Scooter Libby: Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty

(Newser) – Michael Wolff attends the trial of Scooter Libby, concluding that Cheney's factotum was hung, drawn, and quartered because he failed to do well what Republicans have always (until now) done well: PR.

By reaching down below his status to talk to the press and by reaching out to powerful Washington media pundit Tim Russert, to fix a problem he couldn't fix, Scooter just blew it.  In the end he got convicted for badly executed PR, and not what Wolff calls "the Martha Stewart breach of legal etiquette" (lying to the grand jury and the FBI) that got him indicted.
