Sack Vick, Feed a Dog: Animal Shelter

To raise awareness of pit bull plight, group will match tackles with food

Share

(Newser) – A Pennsylvania animal shelter has put a price on Michael Vick’s head—sort of. Main Line Animal Rescue ran an ad in the Washington Post promising to donate five bags of dog food to local shelters every time a Redskin sacks Vick during their Oct. 26 game. “We just need to raise public awareness and this is a good way to do that,” the group’s founder tells the Philadelphia Inquirer.

I think we're all getting tired of the "Does he deserve a second chance?" kind of thing. Maybe it's about time that the million pit bulls euthanized every year got their second chance. - Bill Smith, Main Line Animal Rescue

i'll gladly use one of your right-wing lines : "you're unamerican". One of the founding beliefs of our judicial system is that if you do you're time you should have a second chance at life. Grow up, he did his time. You can shout "up yours" to me all day long, it doesn't change the fact that he spent time in jail for his crime. Now, with that said, if he gets busted for it again, then i fully agree that he's a sonofabitch and should be in jail much longer. Any repeat offenders of any crime that has served their time should be condemmed heavily. Until then, he did his time, he's having his second chance, just like we believe our system should do. Until he screws up again, grow up and accept the fact that this is the system we so heavily believe in.

Tim I don't often agree with your comments but I give you the thumbs up here. He shouldn't be playing at all.

Timmi, he did his time, and paid for his sins which is more than most here can truthfully say I am sure. He served all the court set for him. All criminals are then free once time served to return to a productive life as he is attempting to do. The days of placing the "Scarlet Letter: are over, turn it loose and move on, the showing of moral indignation do not become you at all. If he went jobless then you would cry because he is on public welfare, this way he earns a living and can contribute financially much more than you to providing for others.so let it be

Vick did criminal acts. Have you paid for your sins yet? When you have paid for yours then step up. Fake righteous outrage is NOT equity. ! Man up, get over it, and move on. DG Reply
