Sorry, Glenn Beck: Senate Confirms Sunstein

57-40 vote goes mostly along party lines

(Newser) – Cass Sunstein, President Obama’s nominee for a bureaucratic White House post, has been confirmed in a 57-40 Senate vote largely along party lines, Politico reports. Sunstein, who will monitor federal regulations as director of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, has been under attack by conservatives over his positions on animal rights, hunting, and end-of-life care.

Glenn Beck recently called on his Twitter followers to gather all the dirt they can find on Sunstein, promising to block the appointment of the law professor he considers a radical anti-hunting animal lover.

I just can't seem to wrap my head around peoples fascination with that man. Beck is just about the worst example for a journalist or news anchor you can find. His apparent power over the fringe, brither, deather, and other loons is his real talent. Way to go indeed, you have managed to lead a bunch of lemmings to the crazy cliff.

Yes, because clearly when a group of senators vote to approve a guy who's qualified for the job and appointed by a president from their party they are selling out while the obstructionist opposition party is staying true to their beliefs by voting down any and all comers appointed. Man are you obtuse LM.
