(Newser) – The US Census Bureau will not allow community-organizing group ACORN to participate in next year’s national census, the Wall Street Journal reports tonight. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now is a “distraction,” Census director Robert Groves writes, after members of its Baltimore and Washington offices were caught on hidden cameras offering tax advice to people posing as pimps and prostitutes.

LQQK. This is how it works. ACORn gets a certain amount of funding to carry out an initiative, let's say the voter registration. They then pay various people from THE COMMUNITIES they service , of which you may find a housewife, disabled vet, a bum, a homeless person, a drug addict, etc. Those people prolly get paid on a per-new-registrar basis SOME of those people will attempt to register voters, and turn in only those they successfully registered. Some will attempt to register voters, and will make up a few more fake registrars to get paid more. And some will not try to register ANYONE, make up a bunch of names to get paid for doing nothing (Sound familiar Wall St?). ACORN will then attempt to sift through all the forms that were turned in and decide which are legitimate and which are not. Imagine this: Someone gets hired by Ford. That person puts false information of their tax forms -they claim 3 exemptions when they only have 2. Is Ford guilty of trying to defraud the IRS?

clearsight wrote "No we will not shutup about Acorn. I won't be satisfied until Acorn is out of business and not getting ANY further taxpayer dollars to run their corrupt organization." And speaking of corrupt organization getting tax money to run their operation, I assum you'll be moving on to Haliburton? The Carlyle Group?

I so agree Rif. I like deebs the best too. but that dumb dead son called me that so I keep trying to find a name that doesn't hurt. But, I can't name myself after the dog. I think that I can finally stick with Deebles and feel good when I see it instead of missing him so much. He's gone whether I'm Deebles or not. I may be getting to the point where his life is more important than his death. Yeah! lol Everybody, out on the dance floor. Em.
