Investigators have found bloody clothes tucked in a ceiling at Yale near where missing student Annie Le was last seen, the New Haven Register reports. Declaring the building a crime scene, officials held a news conference today and denied reports that the 24-year-old doctoral student's body had also been found. Le, 24, vanished on Tuesday, 5 days before her planned wedding.

The case remains "wide open," a law enforcement source told the New York Daily News. The source said investigators are considering:

  • A burglary gone wrong. The molecular biology lab where Le was last seen contained valuable items.
  • Kidnapping. Le's mother, a nail salon owner in California, could access cash.
  • A professor who called off a class. Le would have attended close to the time she disappeared.
