Fey Wins Emmy for Impersonating Palin

Share

(Newser) – Tina Fey took home an Emmy tonight for her dead-on impersonation of Sarah Palin during the campaign, reports the Hollywood Reporter. Fey's work on Saturday Night Live won a Creative Arts Emmy—these honor guest spots and technical achievements, preceding next week's main ceremony—for best guest actress in a comedy series. Fey could win again next week: She's up for best actress for her role on 30 Rock. Also notable tonight: Justin Timberlake became the first SNL host to win for best guest actor in a comedy series.

Yea there's nothing harder than looking naturally like someone, putting on a midwestern accent, and reading a script Seth Meyers wrote.

I hope Tina is happy. If it wasn't for her, Sarah Palin could have been VP today. Sarah wouldn't have a fucking clue what she was supposed to do, but she sure would look good not doing it. Reply

Sarah knows exactly what she's supposed to do: periodically shout, "AAAHHHH! Liberals! Liberals!"
