BofA Cardholder Rips 'Thieving Bastards'

Foe of 'usury and plunder' won't pay 'til CEO watches video

(Newser) – A California woman who says she kept paying her credit card bill even after she lost her job has had enough: She's pledging not to pay down her Bank of America account until the creditor lowers her interest rate, the Huffington Post reports.. It’s “the proverbial first shot fired in an American debtors' revolution against the usury and plunder perpetrated by the banking elite,” Ann Minch says in a YouTube video that's quickly going viral. “Stick that in your bailout pipe and smoke it.”

Minch demands BofA CEO Ken Lewis watch her video before the "evil, thieving bastards" at the bank have a hope of collecting the $5,943.34 she owes. Minch’s interest rate jumped from 12.99% to 25.49% at the same time BofA received its federal bailout, even though she paid on time. A USPIRG exec says “realtime viral outrage” could work and force “big business to start treating consumers more fairly or pay the price.”

OMG!!!! These people were good enough to let her spend money that she didn't have, and now she's mad because she has to spend money she doesn't have?

@bleebloo......Show me where in the agreement it says that they can raise her rates just because she sneezes because I dont find that anywhere on my agreement with Chase or Wells Fargo. And you missed the whole point of her post. Try doing things in America if you have no credit card....go ahead. You must live in a cave, have no running water and have no need for credit and thats all good and well, but most of us live in the real world and the fact she did all the right things and they still sh*t on her after her taxes, along with mine ( not yours because I'm sure living in a cave is tax free) bailed their asses out is just sheer greed and nothing more. I tried living without credit cards but one day my electric company out of the blue asked me to list a credit card on my account as a backup to my usual method of paying by check. When I told TXU I didnt use credit cards they told me would lose electric service because it was now required to have a credit card. So much for your theory as to not needing a card. Is it my fault I need a card to get electricity.....no....Same thing with ebay, paypal and buying online...no credit card, no service.
