'Get your Chapstick ready,' Douglas tells onscreen lover about upcoming Liberace movie

(Newser) – Michael Douglas has some advice for Matt Damon, his soon-to-be co-star—and onscreen lover—in an upcoming film about Liberace. “I saw Michael last night. He comes up and says, ‘Get your Chapstick ready,’” Damon tells USA Today. “It's going to be a great movie,” he adds of the Steven Soderbergh film. “My role is a great role. But Michael’s role?”—Douglas will play Liberace—“It's spectacular.”

both great actors, just not sure why they couldn't find a good gay actor that would suit the role better. Reply

Probably covering the lawsuit by the gay lover period of Liberace's life? Douglas is too old to play 50-60's years of his life. Reply

How do you know they didn't? Many gay men are married to women or date women to hide their sexuality, especially in the celebrity set. Straight people barely have a clue who is gay amongst the famous set and would be shocked to learn of some of them. Reply
