ACORN Is Rotten, And Mainstream Media Ignores It

Network news has no coverage of hooker-pimp sting video scandal

(Newser) – The scandal enveloping community-organizing group ACORN “has everything you could ever want,” Dan Gainor writes for Fox News: “corruption, sleazy actions at tax-funded organizations, firings, government ties, sex, hookers. It is a network news director’s dream.” Curiously, ABC, CBS, and NBC aren't covering the brouhaha that got the organization banned from 2010 census-taking duties. Because “when they find something inconvenient, they let it pass.”

Fox, of course, is doing its due diligence on the group that has received $53 million in federal funds since 1994, Gainor writes. Big newspapers have taken “a passing glance” at the story of ACORN employees advising faux pimps and hookers on skirting the law, though Gainor declares himself “underwhelmed.” For its part, ACORN has blamed “news” agency Fox for orchestrating the whole thing. “Yeah, all that about under-aged prostitution, corruption and government connections isn’t news.”

Yeah, all that about under-aged prostitution, corruption and government connections isn’t news. People are just out to get ACORN. No wonder their name symbolizes a kind of nut. Too bad the rest of the media don’t want us to know that. - Dan Gainor

Once again I am amazed by your lack of true knowledge MrsK. The ACORN Story has nothing to do with race relations. ACORN Deserve to be investigated, no doubting that, but I've noticed how FOX never goes after the targets that are really hurting the American public, (ie., US Bank for example who took stimlus funds and gave their employees a 3 billion bonus for the year), but than that would be hurting their contributers

I don't think Fox orchestrated this one. Everyone keeps saying Fox is run by corrupt powerful elite and that may be so, but NBC is run by even more powerful corrupt elite. GE owns so much more stuff across way more industries. What is the damned difference? They are all cut from the same cloth.
