(Newser) – The new version of the Newlywed Game will feature a gay couple for the first time—Star Trek actor George Takei and his husband Brad Altman, Queerty reports. Takei and Altman just celebrated their first anniversary—they’ve been together for 22 years but didn’t tie the knot until the brief legal window in California last year. The show airs on the GSN cable network next month.

Queerty's only request: "Host Carnie Wilson needs to ask George the weirdest place they've made whoopee."

Do you have a girlfriend or wife? Then you must be a pervert the same way they are.

No fair! They shacked up 22 years; they know each other inside out. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm just curious on who's playing the female role in that relationship. Maybe that'll come out during The Newlywed Game.
