(Newser) – Everyone likes a funny drunk, right? Barstools lists the most lovable movie and TV boozehounds of all time:

  • Who comes to mind first? Norm Peterson from Cheers, of course. "The crowd shouted 'Norm' every time he walked through the door to belly up to the bar."
  • Will and Grace sidekick Karen Walker "was always sloshed or looking for her next drink and never failed to make us laugh."

  • Drunks don't get much better than Old School's Frank the Tank, who "steals laughs in every scene he’s in."
  • The title character in Bad Santa may not be lovable, but "he manages to stop banging hookers, destroying things and robbing people."
  • Bluto in Animal House "is the quintessential frat boy with a love of alcohol."

And you can't beat a barstool for interesting conversation with friends. Since, I've isolated myself, Newser has become my little neighborhood bar. I will admit though that when no one can see your tits, you get a lot less breaks. As my friend Mary would say--the bitch about getting older is that you have to fall back on your personality.
