What'd Michelle Buy at Farmers Market? Kale

No produce yet from White House's own garden, however

(Newser) – The farmers market Michelle Obama has been pushing for opened near the White House today, Eleanor Barkhorn writes for the Atlantic—though without any produce from the first lady’s own much-publicized garden. Mrs. O was among the first customers, and though she skipped the “Beets Even the President Would Love,” she did score Tuscan kale, hot peppers, potatoes and cherry tomatoes.

“It’s like her outfits,” said one producer-purveyor. “When she wears a J. Crew dress, everyone goes out and buys it. It’s going to be the same thing with kale.”

kale is ....ok......just watch out for the fibre content, kinda like broccoli and cauliflower greens..if you get my meaning....I actually like it stir fried with fine diced bacon and a little onion. (sprinkle a little hot sauce on it after it's done...yum yum) seen it stripped and deep fried once to make something like a chip of sorts...not brave enough to try that one yet..lol
