Russia Says It Won't Deploy Missiles Near Poland

Kremlin also criticizes Iran's president for denying Holocaust

(AP) – Russia said today it will scrap a plan to deploy missiles near Poland since Washington has dumped a planned missile shield in Eastern Europe. It also harshly criticized Iran's president for new comments denying the Holocaust. Neither move, however, represented ceding any significant ground. A plan to place Iskander missiles close to the Polish border was merely a threat.

And while the Kremlin has previously criticized Tehran for questioning the reality of the Holocaust, Russian leaders have refused to back a Western push for tougher sanctions against Iran. It still remains unclear whether Moscow will make any significant concessions on Iran and other issues in response to President Barack Obama's move to scrap the Bush-era plan for US missile defense in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Astute observation dude, but sometimes I just can't help myself. The same sentiment is expressed by whoever said (I think it was Mark Twain) "if you argue with a fool, that makes two of you". Sometimes I forget, and make a fool of myself.

Sorry, I get a total pass on that last comment where I wrote like garbage and sole instead of soul. But. I'm trying to do sit, down and stay with a puppy lab and type. The dog is doing way better than I am. I just got him to stay when I left his sight--huge for a dog. Teach them patience and you never have to teach them anything else. Strangely, I realize that I've been on Newser and training this lab from the beginning. He'll stop, sit stay and hold until I give a movement. Wicked, Gussy and my Newser thing are the same age. He's much better than I am. orn

don'tlike you are you daft? When did Obama take an anti-Israel stance? While you numb nut right idiots were worrying about his Ayers friend, whose father ran the electric company in Chicago for God's sake, Obama sold his sole to every single rich jew in Chicago and that would be a lot. Stupid right wing guy. You right wingers keep focussing on ACORN. Don't you get that Fox is feeding you a line too? orn
